JANUARY 28, 2010 -- MSO optical equipment provider Aurora Networks, Inc. says it has received ISO 9001:2008 Certification. The certification affirms that the company’s quality management system meets the qualifications for the globally accepted International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard.

The ISO 9001:2008 standard outlines requirements and provides guidance on good quality management systems for businesses and other organizations. Companies that achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification have demonstrated to independent auditors that their quality management system consistently provides products and services that meet customer needs.

The standard evaluates various activities for a company’s quality management system, including product development, testing and performance reviews, process audits, documentation of problems and corrective actions taken to prevent future occurrences, how a company or organization continues to improve its management practices over time, executive review, and, most importantly, customer feedback and satisfaction.

“As we grow as a company, adhering to rigorous procedures is very important to ensure the highest quality of our products and solutions we deliver to cable operators. Achieving this certification ensures the cable industry that the quality of our products and our strong business practices will always remain at a high level,” said Guy Sucharczuk, chairman, president, and CEO, Aurora Networks.
