Agiltron unveils reconfigurable optical components, short wavelength isolators

March 8, 2005 Wilmington, MA -- Agiltron, a vertically integrated manufacturer of fiber-optic components, has introduced its NanoSpeed family of reconfigurable fiber-optic components for communication and sensor applications. According to the company, the product line includes switches, EVOAs, and variable splitters with rise and fall times as low as 10 ns.

March 8, 2005 Wilmington, MA -- Agiltron, a vertically integrated manufacturer of fiber-optic components, has introduced its NanoSpeed family of reconfigurable fiber-optic components for communication and sensor applications.

According to the company, the product line includes switches, EVOAs, and variable splitters with rise and fall times as low as 10 ns. The patent pending devices also feature less than 1 dB optical loss, polarization independent operation, simple driving requirements, and solid-state reliability.

The products are on display at this week's OFC/NFOEC conference, at the company's booth 2585.

Separately, the company also introduced a line of compact short wavelength optical isolators for communications, instrumentation, and industrial applications. The devices cover the spectral range from 400 nm to 1060 nm, and are available in both fiber coupled and free space versions. According to the company, the products feature low optical loss (nominally 0.3 dB for the free-space version), as well as low cost.
