Laser diodes

Three new visible laser diodes operate at a 650-nm wavelength, allowing for increased beam visibility, better scanning performance, and increased recording density for optical storage systems. The told9442m is based on dvd technology but is modified for bar-code scanning and alignment applications. It has threshold and operating currents of 30 and 35 mA, respectively. Operating case temperature is -10 to +60C. The told9450mc features low noise and self-pulsation. It has threshold and operating currents of 75 and 85 mA, respectively, and operates from -10 to +60C. The told9441m suits dvd-rom applications and has threshold and operating currents of 40 and 50 mA, respectively. Operating temperature is -10 to +70C. All three devices come in a 5.6-mm-diameter package and feature optical output power if 5 mW.
