Optical receiver

A wavelength-tunable 3-GHz optical receiver can select a particular wavelength in the dense wdm spectrum, perform an optical-to-electrical conversion, and amplify signals for input to instruments such as a bit-error-rate tester. The tunable optical-filter section operates in the 1550-nm band and resolves wavelengths as close as 1 nm. Wavelength accuracy is ۪.25 nm, and repeatability is within 0.1 nm.
