Fiber-optic laser

Fiber-optic laser

NDL7620 laser suits applications in fiber-optic communications. The 2.5-Gbit/sec laser has a narrow bandwidth, which allows a reduction in the number of repeaters over a given distance. It has a built-in optical isolator that eliminates adverse electrical effects. Typical threshold current is 15 mA, and operating temperature is 0° to +70°C. Peak wavelength is 1310 nm, with a temperature dependence of center-emission wavelength of 0.4 nm/°C. The device is available in a variety of packages depending on mounting requirements. The coaxial-cable module package is 25 mm long and 6 mm in diameter. It includes an integral lens and 1 m of fiber.
