Siemens Stromberg-Carlson,

New Orleans, LA, and reltec, Cleveland, OH, will jointly develop broadband and narrowband integrated access platform technologies. The partnership will focus on next-generation digital-loop carrier and broadband fiber-to-the-curb systems. The companies say they hope these developments will benefit the transmission of data packets via Asynchronous Transfer Mode and asymmetric digital subscriber line protocols.
