FONS Corporation, a provider of fiber optic components and interconnect solutions has expanded its product offering of packaged passive optical components to include Optical Cassette Modules specifically designed to be compatible with high-density fiber management systems.

FONS' Optical Cassette Modules (OCMs), the latest addition in FONS' offering of Optical Splitter Cassettes and Shelves, are available in three sizes, compatible with FONS HRC or other LGX style high-density fiber optic enclosures. These cassettes can be configured with any optical component including wide band couplers and splitters, taps, WDMs and attenuators. Fiber inputs and outputs can be terminated into an adapter or assembled with pigtails using any industry standard connector.

For added flexibility, FONS' vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities, including in-house design and manufacture of optical components, connectors, cable assemblies, sheet metal and plastic injection molded parts, provide for easy customization to meet specific network design requirements.

OCMs and other packaged passive optical components are typically sold to network service providers or fiber optic transmission equipment manufacturers. They are used for splitting and combining optical signals in high capacity transport networks, or for monitoring network performance in a variety of applications including long haul, metro and access markets for the distribution of voice, video and data optical signals.

About FONS Corporation:

Fiber Optic Network Solutions (FONS) Corporation manufactures and supplies optical components and fiber optic connectivity products, fiber management products, optical components and customized optical sub-assemblies for networking equipment manufacturers on an OEM basis.
