Tellurite fibers

Erbium-doped Tellurite fibers, manufactured by KDD of Japan, have a gain bandwidth of about 80 nm. The fiber may be pumped at 980 nm as well as 1480 nm. The fibers may be applied in erbium-doped fiber amplifiers, broadband light sources to test optical components, and fiber lasers.
