Tunable filters

Tunable filters with ultrahigh-wavelength stability and narrowband filtering serve 100-GHz transmission systems. The dmf MicroFilter maintains tuned wavelengths from 1520 to 1570 nm, typically to better than 25 GHz over temperatures from 0° to +65°C and humidity from 0% to 95%. Using closed-loop capacitance sensors, the devices suit network management, random access channel selection, channel analysis, wavelength selection and tracking, dense wdm systems, and add/drop multiplexing. The filters are available from Queensgate Instruments.
