Coded mark-inversion transceivers

The S3030 silicon-based coded mark-inversion transceivers deliver timing and data signals for sonet/sdh- or pdh-based equipment. The low-jitter pecl interface for the serial data inputs and the ttl nibble clock interface ensure compliance with the bit-error-rate requirements of the Bellcore and ansi standards for sonet/sdh equipment, as well as the minimum jitter tolerance for clock recovery, as defined in the itu-t E4 specification. The transceivers provide major active components on-chip for a coaxial-cable interface, including analog transformer driver circuitry and equalization interface circuitry. Discrete controls permit separate selection of cmi or nrz operation and pecl (optical-module) or analog (coaxial-copper) interfaces. The operating-temperature range is -40° to +85°C.
