Dispersion compensation module

The Multichannel Dispersion Compensation Module is designed to counter the effect of chromatic dispersion in high-bit-rate dwdm systems. The module incorporates multiple fiber Bragg gratings, each designed to work with a particular channel in a dwdm system. Each channel has its own bandwidth. For high-channel-count systems, the dispersion value of each channel can be tailored to allow for a higher-order dispersion slope. Different values of compensation slope can be specified for each channel in an add/drop scenario or to compensate for residual dispersion in very long-haul OC-48 systems.
