MAY 11, 2010 -- Sunrise Telecom Inc. (Pink Sheets: SRTI) says it has enhanced its AT2500 Spectrum/QAM Analyzer by adding an embedded remote access feature called WebRemote. The new feature is designed to enable cable operators to test system conditions at remote headends and hubs using any Web-enabled access device. The new AT2500 WebRemote makes the AT2500 a more flexible and more cost-effective tool for deploying and troubleshooting the cable infrastructure supporting advanced, triple-play services, Sunrise Telecom believes.

AT2500 WebRemote boosts workforce productivity by allowing a single technician to diagnose return path issues such as group delay, distortion, and amplifier alignment -- a job that otherwise might require deploying two technicians, according to Sunrise Telecom. This option also enables an operator to remotely identify and troubleshoot the causes of both upstream and downstream issues in remote areas or during off hours, eliminating the need to dispatch technicians on-site to access the test set, the company adds.

"The AT2500 Spectrum/QAM Analyzer, a precision analyzer with an industry best -65 dBmV of sensitivity, detects and captures extremely low-level RF impairments which are invisible to most field spectrum analyzers,” said Bahaa Moukadam, CEO of Sunrise Telecom. “With the new WebRemote access capability, an on-call technician can immediately work to identify and resolve network issues remotely to minimize interruption of their customer’s service.”

The WebRemote option for the AT2500 analyzer is currently available.
