January 18, 2002--Cercis Inc. today introduced its 520D35-Series 1310- and 1550-nm dual-wavelength laser light sources for testing singlemode fibers or components.

Cercis Inc. today introduced its 520D35-Series 1310- and 1550-nm dual-wavelength laser light sources for testing singlemode fibers or components.

The lasers include CW -10 dBm (or higher) output, as well as modulated output at standard 270-, 1000-, or 2000-Hz speeds. LEDs illuminate when each laser is activated and blink if modulated. The Model 520D-35 is offered with click-on/click-off interchangeable FC, ST, or SC adapters or a fixed FC optical port. PC (standard) or APC connectors can be accommodated. Either a single optical output or dual optical output is available.

The optical output of each light source is tested to NIST-traceable standards. The instruments are housed within a compact, rugged 3x5x1" thermoplastic case, with protective rubber holster and tethered dust cap. Additionally, all light sources include an AC port as well as internal 9V battery. Pricing is $1,500 for the 520D3512NA (dual-port light source) and $1,800 for 520D3511NA (single-port light source). Delivery is from stock.

Cercis Inc. is located in Pennington, NJ. For more information, visit the company's Web site at www.cercis.com.
