OptoTest offers OP480MT MultiFiber Polarity Tester

OptoTest has unveiled a test and measurement instrument for measuring MPO fiber-optic connector polarity. The OP480MT MultiFiber Polarity Tester is designed to be used with the company's OP280MT Ribbon Visual Fault Locator to provide polarity measurements beyond what is possible with visual methods alone.

The OP480 MultiFiber Polarity Tester automates testing for broken and crossed fibers and supplies immediate and easy-to-read results, the company asserts. It can check polarity types A, B, C, and Universal for 4-, 8-, and 12-fiber MPO connectors. Users also can create user-defined custom mapping via OPL utility software.

The OP480MT and OP280MT are available separately or together as part of the OP-POLARITYKIT-12. In addition to the two instruments, the kit also provides launch and receive optical cables for male and female, mating adapters, cleaning tools, software, and portable power pack in a carrying case.
