Coherent Solutions’ BERTPXIe is a two- or four-channel pulse pattern generation (PPG) and error detector for the design, characterization, and production of optical transceivers and opto-electrical components at data rates up to 29 Gbps. The company believes manufacturers will see PXI as a viable and cost-effective test platform for the upcoming surge in production of 400-Gbps optical transceiver modules, which will create a need for this instrument.
Judge’s comment: “This is a nice multi-channel BERT. While other companies also offer multi-channel BERTs, the PXIe is more compact than similar solutions.”
