Prysmian Group: Sirocco Extreme Microduct Cables with BendBright-XS 180 µm

March 23, 2021
Sirocco Extreme the only cable available for blowing in 288 fibers into 8-mm inner diameter microducts, the company asserts.
Prysmian Group says the Sirocco Extreme cables incorporate two important advancements in optical cable systems. They are the first cables worldwide to utilize 180-µm optical fibers. Also, they utilize a novel buffer tube technology, PicoTX, which allows further reduction of the cable diameter. Together, these advances make Sirocco Extreme the only cable available for blowing in 288 fibers into 8-mm inner diameter microducts, the company asserts.

Judge’s comment: “Another great addition to meet the demands for ever-increased density. Impressive features and benefits."
