ZTE’s Large-Capacity 400G ULH Transport System supports 12-THz ultra-wide frequency spectrum. The system supports a maximum single-wavelength of 1.2 Tbps for 400-Gbps backbone ULH transmission and 1.2-Tbps data center interconnection. The system is programmable from 100 Gbps to 1.2 Tbps on-demand. Compared with 16QAM-PS modulation, the 400G QPSK modulation has higher non-linear tolerance with which it can increase the input optical power; the back-to-back OSNR tolerance is better as well. In addition, the system uses various algorithms and patented technologies to improve the transmission capability and implement ULH transmission, so that the backbone network can use as few regenerators as possible.
Judge’s Comment: “A good C+L system design.”
