ARRIS (NASDAQ:ARRS) has selected Oracle's (NYSE:ORCL) Cloud Applications and Platform to provide a unified business platform to support its growing global business.

ARRIS plans to use the Oracle Cloud Applications and Platform to unite multiple components of its business, from procurement and payment to product design and employee management.

"ARRIS is driving the adoption of cloud technology in our own industry to accelerate innovation in Internet and video services, so we recognize Oracle Cloud's power to improve efficiency, scale, and speed for our customers on a global level," said Phil Baldock, chief information officer, ARRIS. "Our integrated suite of Oracle Cloud applications, enriched with the Oracle Cloud Platform, will be the foundation for managing and expanding our business at large. It will allow us to adapt to our customers' ever-changing needs as we make it easier for them to deliver the next generation of entertainment and communication services for millions of consumers around the world."

ARRIS will utilize the full suite of Oracle Cloud applications: Oracle Human Capital Management Cloud; Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning Cloud and Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud; Oracle Supply Chain Management (SCM) Cloud; and Oracle Cloud Platform services - Oracle Integration Cloud and Oracle Data Integrator Cloud.
