The Amdocs Service Design and Create (SDC) solution automates and integrates the design, test and launch process for multi-vendor NFV-based enterprise services.

Today, operators need nine to 12 months or more to plan and implement a new enterprise service. This involves an offline service design, test and creation process. Innovation is slow and costly compared to what OTT providers are able to achieve, Amdocs says.

With SDC, broadband cable engineers can onboard any VNF from any vendor as part of an agile, automated service design, test and launch process. This enables operators to try, fail, adapt and try again. Innovation levels are comparable to that of OTT providers.

Specifically, SDC enables operators to onboard and configure VNFs using templates, combine and reuse modular design components, utilize test and debug, and eliminate manual handoffs.
