Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) has teamed up with Evergent Technologies on solutions for OTT video services. Evergent has integrated its cloud based service management, product management, subscriber management and billing platform with Ericsson Managed Player, and Ericsson Mediaroom Reach, the company's platform for OTT video delivery to multiscreen devices.
The Evergent partnership is intended to help Ericsson provide managed services including content management, product packaging and preparation, DRM, service management, subscriber management, and billing through Evergent and advertising insertion for multiple devices and platforms.
Bonnier Group, with Swedish TV network TV4 Group and pay TV operator C More, recently selected Ericsson to provide a managed OTT VOD and live TV service. Evergent worked closely with Ericsson to deliver subscriber management and billing for TV4.
