Comcast Building OR Data Center

Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) is building a new data center in Hillsboro, OR. The facility is expected to provide support for Comcast's video, Internet and phone services for Oregon and SW Washington customers. Construction is already in progress.

In other Comcast news, Comcast Business announced a data center and cloud program designed to provide customers with more efficient access to their own cloud solutions. The new initiative is intended to give businesses more freedom and added flexibility in data storage and backup, dev/test, collaboration, billing or website hosting.
