At the NAB show in Las Vegas, Thomson Video Networks solutions on display will include the company's Ultra HD playout solution powered by HEVC compression; video compression systems for pay TV with an enhanced version of Thomson's XMS Network Management System; increased density and flexibility of encoding/transcoding for multiscreen, IPTV, and OTT services; and an HEVC solution for live and file-based delivery.

The company's TimePlanner is a new application that is part of the XMS Network Management System. Based on a profiling engine intended to enable the description of any item from a complete headend down to a program's component, TimePlanner is designed to automatically schedule service plan changes without any human intervention, such as applying modifications to a large number of channels, changing channel lineup, or managing recurring clear/scrambled transitions. It also features a new graphical user interface.

Other products on display will be the company's MediaFlex video operating system and upgrades to the ViBE VS7000 encoding/transcoding platform.
