Miranda Acquires Softel

Miranda Technologies has announced the acquisition of Softel, a provider of captioning, subtitling, audio and video description, and interactivity. The integration is expected to be complete by this summer.In addition to its Swift line of subtitling and captioning products, Softel also offers advanced TV systems designed to improve efficiency and enable new revenue streams, including interactive TV, second-screen applications, headend efficiency suite and MPEG ad insertion capabilities.
