Active Broadband Intros IP Video Management

Active Broadband Networks' Active Content Manager (ACM) is a resource-aware, policy-based IP video service management solution designed to enable broadband providers to monetize IP video, track usage and assure subscriber quality of experience. It's designed to factor content delivery requirements and subscriber entitlements with current network conditions and capacity to dynamically map IP video streams onto separately managed virtual connections over broadband. The ACM leverages the subscriber data management and dynamic service control functions of Active Broadband Networks' Active Resource Manager platform. It identifies content and tracks usage on a per subscriber basis for monetization, and matches broadband connection capacity with video streaming rates, signaling the network to increase bandwidth if required to assure quality of experience.
