SeaChange International (NASDAQ:SEAC) has agreed to license APRICO content recommendation source code and other intellectual property rights from Royal Philips Electronics. The agreement allows SeaChange to integrate personalized, content-aware and collaborative recommendation functionality into its Adrenalin multiscreen video back office platform.APRICO is a video content recommendation and targeting technology designed to help viewers find content of interest. It finds, recommends and delivers personalized content to viewers via TV, PC or mobile, based on their profile, viewing behavior and/or explicit inputs.APRICO technology for both linear and on-demand services and recommendation models will be released with the Adrenalin multiscreen back office platform over the course of 2012.It will be demonstrated at the Cable Show in Boston and ANGA Cable Show in Cologne, Germany.
