Charter Communications (NASDAQ:CHTR) has hired Gary Schanman as senior vice president, video products. He will oversee the development and management of Charter's evolving video product team, with a focus on improving the MSO's video products. That effort includes the development of a cloud-based UI, evolving the Charter TV Apps, driving Charter's all-digital initiative, and launching more HD content.

Most recently, Schanman was SVP of strategy, revenue management and operations for Cablevision Media Sales. He also served as Comcast's vice president of advertising and interactive commerce product development.
