Sumitomo, Omnitron to Demo DPoE/DAC for CableLabs

Sumitomo Electric Lightwave and Omnitron Systems announced the completion of interoperability testing of the DEMARC Auto-Configuration (DAC) process with Sumitomo's FSU7100 DPoE Qualified Series EPON Optical Line Terminal (OLT) and Omnitron's iConverter GM4 Network Interface Demarcation Device. Sumitomo and Omnitron will be demonstrating the DAC process at the CableLabs Winter Conference in Atlanta.

The DAC process provides automatic provisioning of the demarcation device for Carrier Ethernet services over DPoE networks. This interoperability demo is intended to verify an end-to-end solution for automating DOCSIS provisioning of Carrier Ethernet business and mobile backhaul services.
