    La Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA), mejor conocida por sus especificaciones de interconexiones domésticas, está desarrollando una especificación que tiene como objetivo unidades múltiples de viviendas (UMV).

    La Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA), mejor conocida por sus especificaciones de interconexiones domésticas, está desarrollando una especificación que tiene como objetivo unidades múltiples de viviendas (UMV). La especificación, llamada Acceso MoCA, se basará en el estándar MoCA 2.0 actual el cual está diseñado para rendimientos de redes de 1 Gbps.

    La especificación recién aprobada de MoCA 2.5 también se integrará en la nueva especificación sirviendo como un plan tecnológico sobre el cual planificar para futuros despliegues. MoCA 2.5 está diseñado hasta para 2.5 Gbps y es interoperable con el anterior MoCA 2.0.
