El Instituto Nacional Estadounidense de Estándares ha aprobado ANSI/SCTE 54 2015, "Digital Video Service Multiplex and Transport System Standard for Cable Television." El documento describe las características del subsistema de transmisión y las especificaciones normativas del estándar del subsistema de transmisión y multiplex de servicio de banda para videocable.
