Accedo supports relaunch of Telecine Play for smart TVs in Brazil

According to Accedo, with a strong subscriber base, Telecine was looking to refresh its video offering to deliver a more engaging user experience for viewers.

Accedo (Stockholm, Sweden) announced that it has worked with Brazil's Telecine to deploy an updated version of Telecine Play, a video service offering premium movie and series content to subscribers in Brazil. According to an Accedo statement, the updated version of Telecine Play will initially be available across Samsung Smart TV devices.

Telecine Play is a SVOD service with millions of subscribers across Brazil offering access to international movies and series, as well as some locally produced titles. According to Accedo, with a strong subscriber base, Telecine was looking to refresh its video offering to deliver a more engaging user experience for viewers.

Accedo’s Professional Services team supported Telecine’s internal DevOps team to accelerate deployment. Accedo says it is continuing to work with Telecine to update Telecine Play for other platforms.

Accedo notes it offers a range of professional services that leverage its engineering expertise and Quality Assurance (QA) capabilities to quickly deliver reliable and competitive video solutions. The company further noted that the latest version of Telecine Play offers flexibility to iterate on the service, with an adaptable User Interface (UI) that can continue to be customized post-launch.

According to a company statement, "Accedo’s team in Latin America has a deep understanding of the video services ecosystem and can work jointly with customer teams as well as taking over complete responsibility for a modern video service."

Accedo said that Telecine Play is currently available across all main devices, but that Telecine is working with Accedo’s team to optimize its multi-platform experience on all relevant devices in Latin America, as well as ensuring both robust quality and speed-to-market.
