Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) has completed the acquisition of Deep Blue Communications, a Latham, NY-based company that provides engineering, installation, and management of commercial WiFi networks. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The acquisition is intended to allows Comcast to combine its network solutions with managed WiFi to create greater efficiency for businesses and differentiated experiences for customers.

"Customers will benefit from our expertise in advanced business and network solutions with Deep Blue Communications' know-how in providing commercial, managed WiFi at scale," said Bill Stemper, president, Comcast Business. "We look forward to delivering innovative solutions that will drive competitive advantage and growth in key vertical industries such as hospitality and entertainment."

Deep Blue is a managed WiFi provider for retail and entertainment venues, as well as a certified provider for several leading hospitality brands.
