Cable ONE Business (NYSE:CABO) has launched a 500 Mbps business Internet tier, Elite Business Internet, in Dyersburg, TN, and surrounding areas.

The company's newest speed tier expands its lineup of business Internet offerings for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and is available across the majority of Cable ONE Business markets. In February, the company launched the service in the Kansas communities of Neodesha, Independence, Parsons and Chanute.

Cable ONE Business also recently launched 2 Gbps fiber-based Internet services in Biloxi, MS, and Boise, ID. The company offers DOCSIS 3.0-based residential gigabit service in about 95% of its footprint, with the most recent launches being in Aransas Pass and Port Lavaca, TX.

In other Cable ONE news, Cable ONE Business recently announced footprint-wide availability of an upgraded managed business WiFi service aimed at SMBs.

The managed WiFi service is designed to cover up to 10,000 square feet when installed by Cable ONE Business. Business customers can manage their own WiFi settings through a mobile application.

The Cable ONE Business "ONE Gateway" app is available at no charge from Apple and Android mobile app stores. Through the app, business customers will be able to manage their WiFi network settings, including the SSID name, password, security settings and channel settings.

"Our new Managed WiFi service offers the added features and easy-to-use functionality our customers have been asking for," said Chris Boone, vice president of business services for Cable ONE. "In addition to enhanced security, business customers now have access to popular features such as self-management, a guest network and multiple SSIDs."

Cable ONE Business customers can add the managed WiFi service to any business Internet plan for $9.95 a month. Up to five coverage extenders can be added for $5.95 each per month. Business representatives will use a custom WiFi estimator tool to determine whether or not extenders are needed at a customer location, and if so, where the extenders should be placed to ensure maximum coverage.
