Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) says 36 new schools have joined the MSO's Xfinity on Campus program, bringing the total to 63 Xfinity on Campus locations across the country. The program, which launched in 2014, is focused on streaming video to multiscreen devices.

Among the new schools are Northeastern University, University of Notre Dame, Temple University, University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania, University of Southern Mississippi, Villanova University and California State University, Fresno.

Comcast has added a cloud DVR to the service at no additional cost, allowing students to record up to 20 hours of shows, and has also consolidated services into one Xfinity TV app, giving students one place to watch their Xfinity on Campus lineup while on campus, as well as TV Everywhere content when they are anywhere else in the country.

In other Comcast news, specialty distributor Securematics is teaming with Juniper Networks to provide channel partners with access to Comcast Business Cable solutions through the Juniper Cable Services Business Program.
