Comcast Wholesale Adds International VoIP Termination

Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) Wholesale recently added international IP voice termination to its portfolio of services for multichannel video programming distributors (MVPDs), ILECs, CLECs and over-the-top (OTT) voice carriers. The new service is intended to let operators take advantage of Comcast's network and scale to reduce the costs of international calls and expand their footprint globally.

Comcast Wholesale's IP voice termination service uses the same network and is supported by the same resources that handle Comcast Cable's own voice traffic. It is intended for carriers that originate their own traffic, such as MVPDs.
