At CES 2016 in Las Vegas, Sckipio Technologies plans to demonstrate more than 750 Mbps upstream speeds on existing twisted-pair copper telephone wires via G.fast. The company says its broadband solution, intended primarily for fiber-to-the-building (FTTB) MDU and business services applications, is the world's fastest implementation of G.fast to date.

In October, the company demonstrated overall downstream and upstream speeds of more than 1.5 Gbps by bonding two phone lines together.

Editor's note: G.fast, though speedy, is limited in range - typically 300 feet or less - hence the focus on MDU and business applications.
