Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) has completed $19 million worth of service upgrades spanning 730 miles in Appalachian Ohio, affecting more than 23,000 residences and businesses. The upgrades cover video, Internet, voice and smart home services.
As part of the upgrade project, TWC is moving to an all-digital network. To take advantage of the new service, a set-top box or digital-to-analog adapter (DTA) is required. TWC will be contacting impacted customers to inform them about the new upgrades.
Upgrades include:
More than 150 HD channels
20,000 on-demand offerings
Internet downstream speeds up to 50 Mbps
The free TWC TV app, with live TV and On Demand on eight platforms
Six-tuner whole-home DVR service
Unlimited local and long distance calling throughout the United States and dozens of foreign countries
Caller ID on TV
TWC's IntelligentHome security and home management service
Communities getting the upgrades include:
Harrison County: Bowerston, Cadiz, Hopedale, Jewett, Scio and surrounding areas
Carroll County: Leesville and surrounding areas
Hocking County: Logan and parts of Falls, Good Hope, Green and Marion townships
Delaware County: Parts of Berkshire, Brown, Genoa, Harlem, Kingston, Liberty, Trenton and Berlin townships
Fairfield County: Parts of Canal Winchester, as well as parts of Amanda, Bloom, Greenfield, Liberty and Violet townships
Franklin County: Parts of Lockbourne and New Albany, as well as parts of Hamilton, Madison, Plain, Brown and Pleasant townships
Licking County: Parts of Pataskala, as well as parts of Etna, Harrison, Hartford, Jersey, Liberty, Monroe and St. Albans townships
Pickaway County: Parts of Harrison, Madison and Walnut townships
Madison County: Canaan and Monroe townships and parts of Darby and Jefferson townships
