Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) has completed the deployment of high-speed data, voice and QAM video in New York City on Casa Systems' integrated CCAP platform. TWC has migrated hundreds of thousands of video subscribers to Casa's C100G platform.
The migration is intended to reduce capital and operational expense, including savings in rack space and power consumption. Savings are expected to grow as more VOD and switched digital video subscribers are converted to integrated video, as well as through recovery of floor space due to the elimination of external QAM devices.
