Videotron has acquired 4Degrees Colocation and its data center in Québec City. The transaction is valued at $31.5 million, which could increase to $35.5 million if certain targets are reached. 4Degrees is Tier III certified by the Uptime Institute and has a total capacity of more than 2,000 cabinets and the equivalent of 85,000 servers. The acquisition is intended to enable Videotron to expand the business services it offers in Québec City.
