Texas telco and ISP Metroplex Communications has unveiled a plan to bring gigabit Internet access to businesses in Addison, TX, and its surrounding communities. The 1 Gbps service, dubbed "GigaNet," is intended to make gigabit speeds available to approximately 5,000 businesses along a fiber-optic network that covers Addison and a large portion of the surrounding areas. The service is expected to be available to the majority of Metroplex customers by the end of 2015.
