Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) has announced that 100% of its broadband network has been upgraded to support IPv6 dual stack connectivity. The MSO has also surpassed 30% IPv6 deployment, and penetration is expected to reach nearly 50% by the end of 2014.
Comcast's plans include support for additional residential devices, as well as the launch of IPv6 capability for its Business Internet customers. In addition, the company plans to transition to IPv6-only support for both the Xfinity X1 platform and Xfinity Voice, with trials slated for later this year.
