ARRIS' (NASDAQ:ARRS) E6000 Converged Edge Router (CER) will be deploying with Cable TV of East Alabama and with Comporium in the Carolinas.

The E6000 deployment with Cable TV of East Alabama, which operates 1,000 miles of cable plant, is intended to incrementally increase bandwidth to address IP voice, video, and data services growth through DOCSIS QAM licensing, while lowering CAPEX and cost per channel.

Comporium has begun migrating its HFC network, originally built on ARRIS's C4 cable modem termination system (CMTS), to the CCAP-capable E6000 to enable delivery of higher bandwidths and faster speeds as its transition to the CCAP progresses.

ARRIS will demo the E6000 CER at The Independent Show in Kansas City.
