TDS Telecom (NYSE:TDS) has deployed the Calix (NYSE:CALX) E7-2 Ethernet Service Access Platform (ESAP) and 700GE family of ONTs for its new residential gigabit fiber network in Hollis, NH. The GPON deployment is TDS' the first residential gigabit deployment.

Dubbed 1Gig, the TDS service offering will be made available to all residents within the community. Along with the 1Gig data service, TDS is also offering IPTV and voice in the area in a triple-play bundle. After the initial launch of 1Gig in Hollis, TDS is planning to expand its gigabit services to other markets where IPTV is already offered.
