Charter Communications (NASDAQ:CHTR) has begun construction on the Charter Technology and Engineering Center (CTEC), which will house its Advanced Engineering teams, a large testing lab, and resources from the Product, IT, Network Operations and Care teams. The 85,000-square-foot research and development facility is located near Denver in the Compark Business Campus Metropolitan District in unincorporated Douglas County, CO. The Center is expected to be operational by year's end.

The new facility is expected to accommodate more than 200 technical staff, who will prototype new solutions and certify them for deployment into its networks.
