Espial to Showcase HTML5 at MWC

Espial (TSX:ESP) announced that the World Wide Web Consortium has invited Espial to showcase its HTML5 video user experience at the W3C booth at the Mobile World Congress, Feb. 24-27 in Barcelona. As the developers of the Open Web Platform, W3C will highlight demos from invited member companies that showcase uses of developing web standards including HTML5.

At the W3C stand, Espial will showcase its HTML5 user interface using the Espial STB Client on an RDK set-top box and demonstrate time shifting content to Apple and Android mobile devices.

The W3C is an international consortium that works to develop web standards and guidelines designed to ensure long-term growth for the web.
