According to a survey by Infonetics Research, operators rated Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE:ALU), Huawei and Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO) as the top three wireline cell backhaul equipment vendors. According to the survey, operators rated the most important criteria for choosing a wireline (non-microwave) backhaul supplier are related to capex: total cost of ownership (TCO), pricing and product reliability.
