Comcast-TWC to be 4th-Biggest Biz Services Player
According to ATLANTIC-ACM, the pending merger of Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) and Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) would make Comcast the country's fourth largest business services provider, behind AT&T (NYSE:T), Verizon (NYSE:VZ) and CenturyLink (NYSE:CTL), with 5% market share.
The new "super" Comcast's business services parts would consist of Comcast business services, TWC's business services and DukeNet. Combined, the three parts generated $5.7 billion in business services revenue in 2013 on year-over-year revenue growth of 22%. Peeling out video as well as cloud and other services for an apples-to-apples comparison, the combined company will represent a 5% market share in business and wholesale telecom voice and data services in 2013, a jump from 3.9% in 2012.
