At CES in Las Vegas, Rovi (NASDAQ:ROVI) announced several agreements with consumer electronics manufacturers and others.

• LG Electronics has signed on to use Rovi video metadata in LG smart devices.
• Samsung has signed a new multi-year patent license agreement for the use of Rovi video discovery patents and technologies across Samsung's mobile and tablet devices worldwide.
• Rovi has signed a new multi-year patent license agreement with Google (NASDAQ:GOOG), covering Google's use of Rovi patented video discovery technologies worldwide.
• Rovi and Sharp have agreed to renew a multi-year DivX licensing agreement, enabling Sharp to integrate DivX HEVC technology in its next-generation AQUOS TVs and AQUOS Blu-ray disc recorder product lines.
