According to a survey commissioned by Exalt Communications, wireless Internet service providers (WISPs) value cell backhaul performance far more than price.Some 63% of respondents cited performance, not cost, as the single most important factor in choosing wireless backhaul solutions. Cost was a distant second at 29%. In a related question, more than 90% of respondents said that higher bandwidth or providing bandwidth levels otherwise unavailable were the main competitive advantages they offer customers.Exalt surveyed 500 executives whose companies provide broadband access to commercial and residential subscribers throughout the United States, primarily in rural markets.
