Comcast Biz: 80% of SMBs Use Cloud Apps

In an October poll sponsored by Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) Business, 80% of small to medium business (SMB) respondents said that they are using cloud-based applications, and 47% are using as many as they can. The 17% that are not using them today cite vetting time and security as reasons why. The poll was conducted on LinkedIn and covered 1,719 businesses.Responses to the question, "Is your business using cloud-based applications?" included:

• 47% - Yes, we use as many as we can.



• 33% - Yes, but we only use a few.



• 12% - No, we're concerned about security.



• 5% - No, it's too time consuming to vet them.
