Comcast Biz Stretching Fiber Across WA

Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) Business announced a major statewide expansion of high-speed broadband to underserved commercial areas in nearly 100 cities throughout Washington state.Comcast Business' expansion includes building to businesses that have specifically requested Comcast's services as well as to extend fiber-optic lines to areas to encourage future growth. Immediate plans include "proactive" builds in commercial areas of Bellevue, Kitsap County and Renton to offer high-speed broadband and fiber-based Ethernet services for local businesses of all sizes. Additional expansions will follow throughout 2014.Comcast Business is targeting network expansions in small geographic areas that are underserved and could benefit from access to broadband. Construction is scheduled to start this fall and continue throughout 2014.
